Send your first broadcast, screen by screen

  1. Open the admin panel of the bot you want to write to

This broadcast goes to the users of one bot, so it lives inside that bot’s own panel. Open My Bots, pick the app, and you land on its dashboard — the header shows its photo and name, so you always know which audience you are about to write to.

  2. Open Users, and tap Broadcast in the top bar

Broadcast is not one of the eight tiles. The shortcut sits in the top bar of the Users screen — the natural place for it, right above the list of people you are about to message. It is also in the side menu that every section of the panel carries.

The Broadcast button sits at the top right, above your user list.

  3. Check the credit balance in the top bar

The composer opens with your credit count in the top bar. That number is what you can actually send: one credit equals one recipient, so 50,000 credits reaches 50,000 people — once. New accounts start with 50,000 free. The green + Add button opens the packs if you need more.

Credits on the left, + Add on the right. The action bar is always at the bottom.

  4. Name the campaign

The first card asks for a name, and it never reaches your users. It is how the send shows up later in Campaign history, next to the other nineteen, so write what you would want to read in a list six weeks from now.

  5. Write the message

The Message card sends HTML, and the toolbar wraps the tags for you: bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, code, code block, link and spoiler, with a red ✕ HTML that strips it all back. The counter under the box caps at 4096 characters — a Telegram message, not a newsletter. Turn on Messages per language and you get a tab per language instead of one shared text.

  6. Add media and buttons if you need them

The Multimedia card takes a photo, video or GIF up to 50 MB; it is uploaded to Telegram once and cached, so the same file is not re-sent for every user. Below it, Inline buttons go under the message — a URL button sends people somewhere, a callback button triggers something inside the bot, and the colour you pick travels as a real style field to Telegram.

  7. Choose who receives it

Three groups of filters, and they behave differently. Activity is exclusive — All users, Active 24h or Active 7 days, pick one. Additional options stack: With balance plus With referrals narrows to people who match both. User language is its own filter, useful when you did not write a separate text per language.

    Where: Broadcast → Target audience

Every filter you remove makes the send more expensive: the cost is one credit per person who matches.

  8. Send it to yourself first

The middle button of the bottom bar, Test → Admin, delivers the message only to your own Telegram — same formatting, same media, same buttons, exactly as your users will see it. It costs nothing and it is the only way to catch a broken tag or a dead link before thousands of people get it. A broadcast cannot be recalled once it is out.

Where: Broadcast → Test → Admin

Always test first. There is no undo on a broadcast.

Test → Admin is the middle button, next to Save and Send broadcast.

  9. Press Send broadcast

The green button on the right launches it. A dialog names the campaign and the filter it will go to, so the last thing you see before sending is who receives it. Confirm, and the progress panel reports the campaign number and how many users were queued. If the credits do not cover the whole audience, nothing is sent: the same panel tells you what it costs, what you have and how many you are short.

    Where: Broadcast → Send broadcast

If your balance is short the send is refused before a single message goes out — it is never half-sent.

Your broadcast is on its way

The campaign appears in Campaign history with its delivery numbers. This one went to a single bot. When a message is true for every project you run, there is a second screen that sends it to several at once.

The direct answer

To send a broadcast in Mini Empire, open the admin panel of the bot you want to write to and pick Broadcast from its side menu. Name the campaign, write the message in HTML, choose the audience filters, send a test to your own Telegram to check it, then press Send broadcast. One credit is charged per recipient, and if your balance does not cover the whole audience nothing is sent at all.

Two broadcast screens, and they are not the same one

Mini Empire has two. The one this guide covers lives inside a single bot: you open that app’s admin panel and pick Broadcast from its side menu. It writes to the users of that bot only, and it is the one with the segmentation filters — activity, balance, referrals, verified channel, language.

The other one is Global Broadcast, the third tile on the home screen. It starts by asking which of your apps should receive the message, so it reaches several bots in one send. That reach is the trade: it has no audience filters, so everyone in the apps you ticked gets it.

What a credit is, and why the send can be refused

A broadcast costs one credit per recipient. The audience is counted the moment you press send, so a filter that matches 12,000 people costs 12,000 credits regardless of how many of them open the message. New accounts are granted 50,000 credits, which covers early sends without anyone buying anything.

If the balance does not cover the whole audience, the broadcast is refused and nothing is sent. That check exists because the earlier version only tested for a balance above zero: a campaign with 5,000 credits and 10,000 recipients started, ran halfway and died silently, which is worse than not starting. Now it stops first and reports the three numbers that let you decide — cost, available, and the gap.

Held credits, when two sends overlap

A broadcast that is still running holds the credits it needs until it finishes. If you start a second one while the first is in flight, the available balance is lower than the total you see, and the shortfall message names what is held so the difference is not a mystery.

In practice this only bites on large sends. If you queue a campaign to 200,000 users and immediately try another, the second waits on the first — which is the correct behaviour, because the alternative is two campaigns competing for the same credits and both failing.

Filters that cost less and read better

The activity filters are exclusive — you pick one. The additional options stack, so With balance together with With referrals reaches only the people who match both, not either.

Writing something people do not mute

Broadcasts are the only channel you own that reaches users without paying for traffic. That is exactly why overusing them is expensive: a muted bot cannot be un-muted by sending more.

  • One message, one purpose. Two announcements in one bubble means neither is read.
  • Put the reason to care in the first line — Telegram truncates the preview.
  • Use an inline button instead of pasting a raw URL into the text.
  • Send to the narrowest filter that still makes sense; a relevant message to 3,000 people beats a generic one to 30,000.
  • Watch how often you send. The mute button is one tap, and it is permanent.

Common questions

What is the difference between Broadcast and Global Broadcast?

Broadcast lives inside one bot’s admin panel and writes to that bot’s users, with full audience filters. Global Broadcast is the home-screen tile: it asks which of your apps should receive the message and sends to several at once, but it has no audience filters.

How much does a broadcast cost?

One credit per recipient. A send to 12,000 users costs 12,000 credits. New accounts start with 50,000 free credits.

What happens if I run out of credits mid-send?

You cannot: the balance is checked against the whole audience before anything goes out. If it is short, nothing is sent and the panel tells you how many credits you are missing.

Can I cancel a broadcast after sending it?

No. Once a campaign starts, the messages are queued to Telegram. That is why Test → Admin exists — it delivers the message only to you, at no cost.

Can I send different text to different languages?

Yes. The Messages per language switch in the Message section lets you write a separate text per language, and each user receives the one matching their Telegram language.

Why is my available balance lower than my total?

A broadcast that is still running holds the credits it needs until it finishes. The shortfall message names how many are held by the other send.
